1. Introduction

VelloShift ("we", "us", "our") is a simple scheduling app built for couples who want to share their work shifts more easily. We respect your privacy and aim to handle your information responsibly.

By using the VelloShift mobile app ("App"), you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary for the App to function:

2.1 Information You Provide

• Email address
• Display name
• Password (securely handled by our authentication provider)
• Events you create (title, dates, times, notes, colors)
• iCal feed URLs if you choose to import schedules
• Partner connection details for sharing calendars

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Basic device information (model, OS version, time zone)
• Anonymous app usage analytics
• Crash reports

2.3 Third-Party Sign-In

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from them.

We do not access your external calendars unless you manually provide an iCal link.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync events with your linked partner
• Import schedule data if you provide an iCal feed
• Show your events in the app
• Improve stability and performance through anonymous analytics
• Send you partner-related notifications if enabled

We do not:

• Sell your information
• Share your data with marketers
• Train AI models on your data
• Show ads based on your data

4. How Your Information Is Shared

4.1 With Your Partner

If you link with a partner:

• They can see all events you add or import
• They can see your display name
• You can unlink anytime.

We are not responsible for:

• How your partner uses or shares information
• Any consequences of sharing your schedule

4.2 With Service Providers

We use trusted services like Firebase for hosting, authentication, analytics, and notifications. They only process information needed for the App to work.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by applicable law.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use reputable third-party services that apply industry-standard security practices, including encryption and access controls.

However, no app or online service can guarantee perfect security, and we cannot promise or ensure that your information will always be completely safe.

You use the App at your own risk.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Your data stays in the App as long as your account is active.
• You may delete your account at any time.
• When deleted, your data is removed from our active systems.
• Some residual or backup copies may remain for a limited time as part of standard system processes.

You can:

• Access or update your profile
• Modify or delete your events
• Unlink a partner
• Disable notifications

8. Children's Privacy

VelloShift is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. International Users

Your information may be stored or processed outside your country. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
